One way to do this is the touring exhibition „The Last Swiss Holocaust Survivors“ which was opened in May 2017. getunik was asked to create the website for this exhibition. It should serve as information platform primarily targeted to schools. When drafting the website, we asked ourselves: How do we stage this topic in an appropriate way? And how do we create a harmonious relation to the exhibition?

Faces & stories

As in the exhibition, the Holocaust Survivors are the protagonists of the website: full-screen portraits by Beat Mumenthaler, impressive interview footage by Eric Bergkraut as well as the survivors’ statements in large font size make up the core of the site.

Plain & clear

With its seven sections, the navigation bar is simple and clear, and information easy to find. The sober design makes the site focussed and solemn.

Simple use

It was important to the client to manage the content by themselves after the go-live. That’s why we chose the Kirby CMS - an elegant and easy to use content management system.

Effect

A thoughtfully designed, noteworthy, and memorable website for an important exhibition.
